Early
Childhood
Sanderling
Waldorf School started in 1996 as a
home parent-toddler group. In 1997, the group hired a recent
Waldorf teacher
graduate to teach the first preschool class. The school grew slowly,
but steadily over the years. In 1998, a parent-toddler program was
added. In 2002, a second Nursery/Kindergarten class was added. Parent
study and handwork groups started mid-year and grew. A third
Nursery/Kindergarten class was added in 2010, eventually allowing the
grade school to offer stand-alone grades classes every year, rather
than combined classes. For the 2013-14
school year,
Sanderling Waldorf's Early-Childhood program offers:

1st Grade has been added each year since 2004.
The school will offer Grades 1-6 and 8 in
2013-14, with the current lead class as the first to graduate
