Encinitas
is located 25 miles north of the city of San Diego, along six miles of
scenic Pacific coastline. The population is approximately 60,000, which
also includes the communities of Cardiff-by-the-Sea, Olivenhain and
Leucadia. The land is characterized by coastal beaches, cliffs,
flat-topped coastal areas, steep mesa bluffs, rolling hills and
protected lagoons. The beaches are outstanding and include one of
surfing's best - Swami's Beach. School families also live in the nearby
North County cities of Carlsbad, Solana Beach, Del Mar, Rancho Santa
Fe, San Marcos, Oceanside and Vista.
